San Gold reports 'extremely high grade' gold - 14 July 2007
San Gold has reported "consistent and extremely high grade values" of gold at its Rice Lake gold mine in Manitoba, Canada.
Face sampling at the '93' vein has averaged 76.40 grams per tonne of gold over an average true width of 2.4 feet and a strike length of 200 feet.
The discoveries came at a sublevel development of the 93 vein, designed to confirm high grades that were developed on the 28th level.
A statement from the company reads: "This vein remains completely open and untested above the 28th level and is not part of the current mineral resource/reserve.
"Sublevel development continues to the north on this vein and development also is continuing on the high grade '98' and '101' veins on the 29th and 30th levels of the Rice Lake mine."
San Gold is focused on gold exploration in the Rice Lake Greenstone Belt in Manitoba. It owns or controls almost 15,000 hectares of exploration lands.
