Aquila announces gold results at Michigan project - Thursday 26th July 2007

Gold producer Aquila Resources has announced results of drilling at its Back Forty project in Michigan, including 17.9 grams per tonne of gold across six meters.

The highlights of the results were 94.2 meters at 1.89 grams per tonne of gold, as well as the 17.9 grams per tonne that occurred together with 116 grams per tonne of silver over the six-meter length in the LK-171 zone.

As well as this, 33.9 meters of 2.27 grams per tonne of gold was reported in the Deep Zone massive sulfide in LK-171.

"These holes exemplify the widespread and pervasive mineralization associated with the Back Forty massive sulfide system," said Aquila president Tom Quigley.

"Multiple zones of gold and base metal mineralization are present throughout the entire length of these holes, and we are especially pleased to see wide, near surface intercepts in hanging wall rocks to the Hinge and Tuff Zone massive sulfides."

Aquila Resources is based in Perth, Australia.
